Girls Under 14 Football

On Thursday, the U14 girls team traveled to Wyndley to start the defence of the Sutton League tittle won by last years U14s.  Expectations were high and were met when NBA beat Sutton Girls 1-0 in the first match.  Alice Tuite seizing the opportunity from a fantastic through ball played by Alexis Gregory.

The second game was against John Willmott and was notably more physical.  NBA went down 1-0 after being muscled off the ball, and a rocket 30 yard shot into the top corner of our net by their striker.  NBA showed great resilience though and came back into the game via Mia Wilson going past two defenders and slotting the ball solidly into their bottom corner.  The game finished 1-1.

The most comical moment of the evening was watching Lamisha Brown being tackled fairly and the ball being taken from her, for Lamisha to then wait 5 seconds and throw herself on the floor in great dramatic style, similar to that of Christiano Ronaldo, shouting ''Foul!".

Overall, a great start to the Sutton League for NBA Girls.
