NBA's Got Talent, 2016

NBA’s Got Talent is the first public performance in the Performing Arts Calendar.  With over 100 different acts auditioning for the competition to reach the final this years auditions process was harder than ever.  Tickets for the show sold out within three days of going on sale.  The final eight acts were:

Mohammed Ali – Mentored by Mr J Davies
Shelly Beresford – Mentored by Miss K Taylor
Jamie-lee Lee Grant – Mentored by Miss A Thomas
Shania Holness – Mentored by Miss C Dunn
Bethany Shaw – Mentored by Miss N Matthews
Abby Carless & Shannon Fulford – Mentored by Charlie-Rose Hicks and Keisha Hooper-Sutherland (6th Form students)
Year 7 Super Group – Paris Whittingslow, Ellie Tubb, Siobhan Loughran, Jorja Sansom, Sana Quadeer, Lilly Proctor, Ben Borne, Cory Hemming, Luis Soares-Xisto, Fallou Seck – Mentored by L Hornsby
De-avain Daley & Shannan Roberts – Mentored by Mr P Lloyd

As usual a member of the Performing Arts team along with Mr Lloyd mentored the performances. This year we were also lucky enough to have 2 of our Year 12 students also take on the role as mentor.

The winning act on the evening was Mohammed Ali, NBA's very own Dynamo.  Throughout rehearsal Mohammed could not execute his tricks with the accuracy which he performed with on the night.  A massive congratulations to all finalists. Two new additions to the Performing Arts team (Miss Thomas & Miss Dunn) entertained a sell out audience, singing with last year’s winner Whitney Wright.  The next event in the performing Arts calendar is the Xmas Xtravaganza on Thursday 8th December.

We are delighted to announce this years winners...

...and showcase NBA's Got Talent in 90 seconds!
